NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of the Building Division will be held on Friday, 10 May 2024 at 6:00pm at Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hong Kong, 50 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, for the following purposes:
- To receive and confirm the Minutes of the AGM for Session 2022/2023.
- To receive and adopt the Annual Report of the Division for Session 2023/2024.
- To receive and adopt the Financial Statement of the Division for Session 2023/2024.
- To elect the Chairman and Ordinary Members of the Division Committee for Session 2024/2025.
- To elect the Council Member (Division) for Sessions 2024/2025 and 2025/2026.
In case of adjournment of the AGM, members of the Division shall check on the Institution’s website at www.hkie.org.hk and the Division’s website at http://bd.hkie.org.hk of the revised venue, time and date for the adjourned AGM.

Division Chairman
The outgoing Division Committee has decided to nominate Ir Sammy LAI Kwok Hung for election as the Chairman for Session 2024/2025.
No other nomination has been received from members by the nomination deadline.
Ordinary Members – under Clause 7.2(c) of the Division Rules
The outgoing Division Committee has decided to opt for the maximum of 14 Ordinary Members, and five Ordinary Members in the Committee shall retire by end of the Session, namely Ir Sammy LAI Kwok Hung, Ir Cedric CHAN Siu Chung, Ir Prof WONG Yuk Lung, Ir Michael LEUNG Wai Ho and Ir William WAN Chi Hong.
Following the retirement of the above Ordinary Members, there are five vacancies for the Ordinary Members.
The Division Committee has decided to nominate the following five candidates for the Ordinary Members for a three-year term: Ir Cedric CHAN Siu Chung, Ir Prof WONG Yuk Lung, Ir Lewis SZETO Yiu Kwan, Ir Kent CHAN Kwok Chung and Ir Ricky LAU Wai Ki.
