The New Central Habourfront Site 3, Central Yards situated on Victoria Harbour next to IFC Two in Hong Kong, the Site 3 will accommodate 150,000m2 of GFA plus 25,000m2 of public open space, with office, retail and entertainment featured in the development mix.

The vision of this development to become a new landmark for Hong Kong and is designed to be a people-centric sustainable community at the heart of Central with emphasis on livability, well-being, zero carbon and urban design considerations with integration with the surroundings.  It shall enhance the connectivity between the hinterland and harbourfront in Central, and create a vast amount of green and public spaces.

The project features one of the deepest basement construction in Hong Kong with various site constraints. The superstructure consists of 3 towers interconnected by a public open space landscape deck and a sky garden.  Site works commenced in around mid-2022 with the Phase 1 diaphragm wall and piling works. Around 400 thousand m3 will be excavated to form two separate basements, up to seven-storeys deep, constructed by the top-down construction method with staged ELS works.  The towers will be mainly constructed by structural steel structure with built-over scheme to maintain 24hrs accessible to public for existing footbridge with the site.  The Lung Wo Road (LWR) Steel Deck construction used temporary pylon sitting for temporary support the long-span (58m) steel trusses erection over in-service carriage way at night. The construction of Phase 1 is due to be completed in 2027 with Phase 2 in ~2032.

A special feature of the project is the temporary footbridge within the site to replace existing footbridge, construction of mega Y-column as the main support of Roof Steel Truss. Large scale temporary steel false-tower to support the multi-levels steel hanger structure and Yiu Sing Street (YSS) long-span (45m) Roof Steel Truss construction.
